WHAT IS THE SESSION FORMAT?

We teach face to face online via Skype/Facetime and soon to be in person at our meditation studio & retreat in Mexico. 

 

What should I expect on my free initial session?

We discuss meditation in more depth & what you are looking for in a technique. We are also looking to understand who you are & why you want to learn to meditate, what things you like & don't like from a lifestyle perspective. This helps us understand what are the best kinds of techniques for you. We will also answer any questions you may have. This session generally takes around 30-40 minutes.

 

I'VE TRIED MEDITATION BEFORE AND I JUST CAN'T SIT STILL...

Welcome to the growing number of people that we hear say this. Its absolutely normal in todays society. Theres just no point trying to sit still in a passive style if its not working after you have really tried. Sitting meditation is a passive style of meditation and while we teach many of these techniques we also teach active meditation styles. Whether thats while you are running, riding your bike or listening to music.

 

I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME, WHAT WITH WORK, FAMILY & COMMITMENTS... CAN I STILL GET RESULTS?

Like with any investment, to maximise your return on the investment the longer time you give it the more the returns you'll receive. You can't expect to get fit going to the gym for only 10 minutes a week. We can teach you "1 minute techniques" but you get back what you invest in yourself. Finding the right techniques do go along way to making the process allot more effortless and enjoyable. We recommend in the beginning that a minimum of 20 minutes twice a day are given. This amount of time has been tried & tested over the years to maximise your returns.

 

WHATS MY TIME INVESTMENT AFTER THE COURSe?

Like anything in life the more you put in the more you get out. The body builder can't build an amazing body only going to the gym 10 minutes a few times a week. We recommend in the beginning to get the best out of meditation that at least 20 minutes twice a day should be your minimum practice. In time this may change and we will also cover this during the course.

 

WHAT IF I DON'T FIND A TECHNIQUE THAT I LIKE, WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?

Even before your free initial consultation we ask that you fill out a questionnaire to help the process of identifying the right techniques for you. We will also discuss at length on your initial free consultation your lifestyle & technique styles. After all the work we will do together & with honest dedicated practice from yourself we feel confident you will be very happy and want to recommend us to your friends and family. As we don't offer a money back guarantee.

 

I'M NOT RELIGIOUS AND DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY, NEW AGE stuff EITHER...

Good we don't teach religion or talk New Age fluff.

While the techniques have their history from the Vedic & Buddhist texts an understanding of these ancient works is not necessary to benefit from the techniques that we teach.

 

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO START MEDITATION?

Depending on the techniques we teach you it could vary from as simple as a cushion on the floor, to a chair to sit in or something to play music on. We will discuss in more detail on your free consultation, but essentially not much if anything is required.
